Correction Packages
Also known as Swirl mark removal or machine polishing. Paintwork correction is the removal of swirl marks and scratches from the top layer of the paint which produces a more refined finish.
Paint correction can involve either hand or machine application of varying grades of cleansers, polishes or compounds. The majority of work is done with machine polishers to get the best level of correction.
Good paint correction requires a high degree of skill, concentration and time, but if done properly, it really can transform the look of a car by dealing with hard water marks, etching caused by bird muck, fly squash, swirl marks, scratching and fading amongst other things.
We offer 3 levels of paint correction, see below:
Paint Correction - Stage 1
This multi-stage process combines light-medium polishes, heavy cleansers paired with cutting and polishing pads to eliminate swirls, scratches and oxidisation which in turn will bring back hazy paintwork to a lustrious high gloss finish. This will process will remove upto 80% paint defects. Additionally, a ceramic quartz coating will be applied to provide incredible results, 12 months plus of paint protection and a superb glossy finish.

Paint Correction - Stage 2
The Stage 2 paint correction service is aimed at removing marks which go beyond what Stage 1 can deal with. These deeper marks might include light to medium scratches and etching (which may have been brought about by bird muck, fly squash, hard water, etc.) and circular scratching (deeper swirl marks).
Typically we will use a combination of diminishing abrasive polishes and high-tech pads which, while able to provide a great level of improvement to the paint, are still gentle on the finish. Every panel is treated once or twice before the Srage 1 process is used to ensure that the results look stunning.
Typical Results:

-
Provide everything that a stage 1 Correction does
-
Remove 80 - 90% of deeper swirl marks
-
Remove/reduce deeper scratches and marring
-
Make a minor reduction to "orange peeling"
-
Restore most faded paint and remove surface oxidation
-
Provide long-term (18-24 months) paint protection (optional 3 & 5 year Ceramic Coating).

Paint Correction - Stage 3
The Stage 3 Correction is designed to remove/reduce as many marks as possible while always staying within the safe, long-term limits of the existing paint. The service is so comprehensive that, for some cars, it can take even a highly trained detailer several weeks to complete.
Typically, we will undertake multiple rounds of controlled compounding and follow this with both the polishing and finishing processes. We'll take even more extensive paint depth readings at the start and as we work, while using techniques which ensure the paint is levelled as sympathetically as possible. This process can be used on any car but is ideally suited to concours, restoration projects or for customers who demand the absolute best from the paint finish on their cars.
Put simply, this level of service provides the most extensive, safe correction available!
