  • What is car detailing?
    The term "car detailing" has been widely used in America for some time but it is still not often understood in the UK. To confuse matters, an ever increasing number of companies are using the term simply because they sometimes polish (mop) a car or offer valeting Car detailing really isn't defined by one single process but is instead a term that covers a wide variety of techniques and products which, to get the best results, require considerable skill to apply. A valeter may get your car clean by typically spending an hour or less on it and a bodyshop may quickly run a polisher over your car to remove a few marks, but neither can be classified as detailing.
  • What are the benefits of detailing your car?
    The paint will have a gloss, slickness and level of reflection which will enhance every curve and line of the car. The finish will be better protected from UV and contaminants. Existing swirls, marks and light scratches are usually removed. The car is likely to stay cleaner for longer and be easier to valet. Detailed cars tend to retain their value better and are easier to sell. Faded or dull paint can be restored to its former glory. Interiors can be cleaned, treated and protected to ensure that they stay looking in top condition for longer.
  • What Is Paint Correction?
    Paint correction can involve either hand or machine application of varying grades of cleansers, polishes or compounds. The majority of work is done with rotary machine polishers to get the best level of correction. Good paint correction requires a high degree of skill, concentration and time, but if done properly, it really can transform the look of a car by dealing with hard water marks, etching caused by bird much or fly squash, swirl marks, scratching and fading amongst other things.
  • How much will it cost??
    Every detail we provide is specific to each customer vehicle and our quotes are individually priced. Pricing depends on a range of factors including the car's size, make/model, condition and the required finish.
  • Will it damage my paintwork?
    NO. If done correctly both detailing and paint correction are perfectly safe processes.
  • How long will the detailing process take?
    This answer to this can vary and is entirely dependant on the level of service you require. The detailing process can take somewhere between 2-3 hours to an entire day, depending upon the car’s condition and car detailing services you choose. Paint correction on the other is a much more labour intensive process and take anywhere from a 1-2 days to several weeks to complete
  • How long does the paint protection last?
    This again depends on the level of protection you want. Typically a good wax can last anything upto 6 months. Paint sealants, which are comprised of synthetic composites and waxes have a durability of 9-12 months. For ultimate durability and protection as well as self healing properties, a ceramic coating is the way to go. However, this type of protection takes longer to apply and cure and as such are more expensive.

    A ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that’s applied to the car’s exterior. The ceramic coating bonds with your car’s paint and creates an added layer of protection. It is composed of silicon dioxide – sourced from quartz and sand
